Daily - Similar to the concept of the continual. Daily activities regarding the sanctuary activities and the daily services of Christians in their daily response to God. In the sanctuary service the root word for daily is "tamid" and is the primary word in continual sacrifice. The Daily also has a prophetic interpretation in Daniel, which, in this writers opinion, is the sanctuary service, the intercessory ministry of Jesus, the covenant relaltionship with God, and the total devotional activities of the Christian church . The Bible indicates that satan, and the wicked, also have daily activities.

Symbol of God's care for us:

          Jehoiachin is raised up by Evilmerodach of Babylon. Symbol of          God's care for His people. II Kings 25:27-30;

God sends His prophets to us daily to warn and instruct.    Jeremiah 7:25

The Daily in Daniel:

The little horn takes away the daily - tamid. Daniel 8:11

The little horn uses a host against the daily - tamid. Daniel 8:12

How long is the vision about the daily - tamid and the        transgression of desolation, and both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled. Daniel 8:13,14 (2300 days until the       restoration/cleansing of the sanctuary.)

The king of the north will be against the holy covenant(v.28,30,32), he shall pollute the sanctuary of strength(v. 31) and shall take away the daily(v. 31), and shall place the abomination that makes desolate(v. 31). Daniel 11:28-32

From the time that the daily is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up shall be 1290 days/years. Daniel 12:11

The prophetic process of taking away of the daily in Daniel 8-12 is a revelation of how sin will attack any process in which redemption comes through. The primary issues in Daniel regarding the taking away of the daily is for satan to influence his people to interrupt the sanctuary process. Satan does this by presenting error to take the eyes of the people off their Great High Priest and place their focus on sinful man. (See Steps to Christ 71-73). Satan accomplished his purposes by getting Israel to reject Jesus and accept Barabbas. Israel rejected the ministry of Jesus in the Holy Place and rejected the ministry of God's people from AD 31-34. The Christian church accepted the error of the priesthood of the     papacy. Protestants rejected the heavenly ministry of Jesus in the    Most Holy Place. In 1844 the sanctuary message was brought back to the forefront by the SDA church but now she to has difficulty with the sanctuary message. This message of the daily ministration of Jesus for His people will continue to be a central           pillar of hope and a central pillar of doctrinal and spiritual debate. Let us keep our eyes fixed on our High Priest, and His ministry for us in heaven and here on earth. CO(Collectors opinion)

Taking away of the daily:

Egyptians take away straw from the Isrealites ability to make bricks. Exodus 5:1-23

The Jews disobey God, and trust in the temple rather than in God. They do not allow themselves to be corrected. Babylon finally comes to destroy Jerusalem, the temple, take away the sanctuary services, and set up an abomination of desolation. Jeremiah 7:1-30; II Chronicles 36:1-21

Jews take away Jesus who was daily in the temple teaching. Matthew 26:55; Mark 14:49; Luke 19:47; 22:53

Jesus takes away the daily sacrifice, (the need for the sacrificial   system came to an end with the death of the true Lamb of God).   Hebrews 7:26-28; 10:1-14;     Daniel 9:27; Matthew 27:50-51

Satan's daily:

Delilah pressed Samson daily until he violated his Nazarite vow with her. Symbolic of Israels interaction with the heathen. Judges 16:16

Satan's people are daily insinuating the thought of "where is your God?" Psalms 42:10

The evil daily oppress the Christian. Psalms 56:1-2

The foolish man reproaches God daily. Psalms 74:22

Satan's people reproached Jeremiah daily. Jeremiahs 20:7-8

Satan constantly looks for ways to harass God's people. He also attempts to confuse the issues and distract the attention of the people from the sanctuary service. He especially is against the sanctuary service in heaven today. CO

Abomination of Desolation - The Abomination of Desolation is a knowing rejection of God through the minstry of His Word directly or indirectly by rejecting His minstrations through His people as they minister daily for the salvation of souls. History has afforded us various examples of this rejection and history indicates that this will be repeated even unto the end of time when the final Abomination of Desolation will occur. This final rejection will occur when God's people, the daily, anointed with His Holy Spirit under the influence of the Latter Rain, will proclaim the Loud Cry for a distinct period of time. When each person hears this message, fully understands the Word of God, and then makes their final decision, then the final Abomination of Desolation will occur when they reject Jesus in this final message of hope and deliverance.
