Warning – Many people read things like the diet plans and immediately seek to accomplish such things in their own will power driven experiences. Bible counsel warns that such a thing is harmful to the reader. The Bible states that if you try, or even if you “succeed” on your own strength you have broken the new covenant relationship and have inadvertently created more sin in your life (the illusion that you can do things on your own. Revelation 3:14-19; Ezekiel 36:22-23). If you feel that the above counsel on diet is necessary in your life, seek Jesus to help you, guide you, and empower you inside the context of the new covenant relationship with Him. CO. Divorce – A state of separation, sometimes permanent, between two parties that God intended should never happen. God’s desire was that the two parties would be as one flesh, one mind and one spirit (Ephesians 4:1-7). History has revealed that through the hardness of heart (Matthew 19:3-12 & Mark 10:2-12; Deuteronomy 24:1-4; Isaiah 50:1), and through outright rebellion (Ezekiel 16:15-59) divorce has occurred. God Himself has experienced the event of divorce (Jeremiah 3:1-11). Never the less God’s plan is to ultimately reconcile, and to have His children reconcile (Jeremiah 3:12-17; Ezekiel 16:60-63; Hosea) through the new covenant experience (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:16-38; Hebrews 10:16-17) that there will be separation no more forever.
